Attack May Be Retribution For Victim's (sex offender) Sex Charges!

6-17-2004 West Virginia:

BELLAIRE - A Bellaire man was taken to Belmont Community Hospital early Wednesday morning after being attacked by a teen, and the violent incident may be retribution for prior sex charges against the victim, reports indicate. According to a report from the Bellaire Police Department, a 21-year-old Bellaire man allegedly was assaulted by a 16-year-old Bellaire resident late Tuesday near 38th and Noble Streets.

After leaving the scene of the first attack, the young assailant allegedly attacked the man again a short time later near 35th and Monroe streets. The teen was taken into custody by Bellaire police and transported to the Sargus Juvenile Center. He will likely be charged with aggravated assault. Bellaire Police Chief Bob Wallace on Wednesday said the assault victim recently was charged with several sexually oriented offenses.

He added, however, that the assault was unprovoked. The victim said in a statement to police that the assailant referred to him as a pedophile prior to the attack. At 12:09 a.m. Wednesday, representatives of the emergency room at Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire informed police that an assault victim had been admitted.

Officers arrived at the hospital and learned the victim had suffered a serious eye injury from several kicks to the face. ..more.. : by GABE WELLS
