7-1-2004 Colorado:
Police in Castle Rock, Colo., are trying to find out who set a home on fire while a registered sex offender and his wife slept inside. Investigators have determined the blaze that gutted Wayne Glasser's home Friday was the work of an arsonist who used gasoline as an accelerant.
A gas can was found in the home, but there was no evidence of forced entry, according to Castle Rock Police Sgt. Scott Clayton. "In fact, the front door was locked when the occupants attempted to flee the house," Clayton said. Glasser and his wife were able to get out of the burning home without injury.
The fire broke out around 2:25 a.m. Forensic evidence collected at the home has been turned over to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation for analysis. It includes possible fingerprints on the gasoline can. ..more.. : by The Denver Channel
